Dilek Orubegarcia is a national-licensed tour guide and travel specialist based in Istanbul.
Fluent in Turkish, English and Spanish, Dilek has spent more than two decades introducing visitors to the history, culture and everyday life of Türkiye. She works alongside her husband, Cuauhtémoc Orubegarcia, through Orubes Travel Club, their Istanbul-based travel agency and private guiding company.
Dilek’s approach combines the city’s celebrated monuments with the details that make Istanbul feel lived in: ferry crossings between Europe and Asia, neighbourhood markets, family-run restaurants, wooden houses, tea glasses and the layers of religious and cultural history found around the Bosphorus and Golden Horn.
